Top 3 Lessons I Have Learned From My All Time Favourite Book

My favorite book of all time is Al-Qur'an ( The Holy Book of Muslims ). It has great personality development lessons. I have learned how to live a happy, successful and satisfying life.

My Top 3 Lessons I learned From Al-Qur'an

As I mentioned, The Qur'an is a very inspiring book as you clearly understand it. The lessons are given below:

1-Every Problem is an opportunity and it leads to our success.

In Chapter 2 verse 216 Allah says:

"and it is possible that you hate a thing which is better for you, and it is possible that you like a thing which is bad for you; and Allah knows, and you do not know." (2-216)

We see problems bad for yourself and hard circumstances make us feel unlucky nut the fact is that we need them and they make us strong, as discussed in the book " Antifragile by Nassim Nicholas".

2-Learned Optimism:

As in Positive Psychology, Martin Saligman presented the concept of learned helplessness and learned optimism.

In Chapter 94 verses 2 and 3 Allah says:

"For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease."

This is the base of optimism that hardships are no longer persisting and they are avoidable and we are not helpless, we can convert them into opportunities and ease.

3-Protectiveness in communication and behavior:

In 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and How to Win Friends and Influence People, we learned how to proactively make your enemies to your friends.

In Chapter 41 verse 34 Allah says:

"And not equal are the good deed and the bad. Repel [evil] by that [deed] which is better, and thereupon the one whom between you and him is enmity [will become] as though he was a devoted friend." (41:34)
